Stomp Radio is a pirate station transmitting from Essex, and has a rich history that goes back to the 1980s (although it had a long break away from the airwaves). Because of the long distance to the transmitter there are occasional crackles in this recording (made on June 1st, 2020). This is the second half of The Heavy Show Soul, hosted by Nik Buttress & Shaun Owen.
Some of the music on this recording is not what I would normally upload here, however, the program offers a valuable snapshot of the community served by this station at a difficult time.
This Sunday night show was rebroadcast early in the morning on Wednesday (June 3rd, 2020), when this recording was made. London’s Wax is currently London’s only dedicated drum & bass pirate station, after Rude FM left the airwaves.
